China Institute for Actuarial Science (CIAS) held “Survey Results on Agricultural Insurance, Agricultural Credits and Land Use: Update” in Room 506, Academic Hall of Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) from September 1-2, 2018. The workshop invited Prof. Cal Turvey of Cornell University (USA), Prof. Ken Seng Tan of University of Waterloo (Canada),Prof.Fu Hong of Shangdong University of Finance and Economics,Prof. Kong Rong of Northwest A&F University, Prof. Peng Yanling of Sichuan Agricultural University, and others to have an in-depth discussion on the field research methodology and agricultural insurance research. The workshop was chaired by Prof. Chen Jiancheng, Director of CIAS.
On September 3rd, 2018年9月3日，Prof.Turvey and Prof. Chen conducted a brief meeting with PhD Students, provided directions and guidance. Via Prof. Turvey and Prof. Chen mentorship, students’ knowledge in agricultural insurance and the ability to construct models are greatly elevated.
